The Rockville Sister City Corporation sponsors student, athletic, political, social, technology, cultural, and arts exchanges. Well over 750 individuals, students, athletes, artists, politicians, firemen, policemen, musicians, an opera singer, and a dozen baseball players have experienced this people-to-people program first-hand. It has touched the lives of citizens throughout Rockville, Pinneberg, and beyond. At least two students are known to be pursuing international careers largely due to their sister city exchange experience. One of them has lived, studied, and taught in Korea and now works for the Voice of America.
